Physical Therapist
Job Description
Little Land Play Gym of College Station is looking for a Physical Therapist that will provide comprehensive care to help children achieve and maintain maximum mobility and function in a play-based environment. Pediatric therapy at Little Land-College Station provides services for children with developmental delays, disabilities and other needs; particularly in the areas of gross motor development and orthopedic needs. The Physical Therapist will evaluate referred clients to create a plan of care with measurable goals. The Physical Therapist must be able to implement the plan of care while maintaining clear, billable documentation and reassess clients to modify goals, document progress timely or graduate clients from therapy.
Responsibilities Include:
- Perform and complete evaluations for referred patient using standardized, measurable tests
- Accurately interpret evaluation findings and develop an individualized plan of care
- Implement and monitor patient response to individualized plan of care
- Document patient progress in patient records; all records must be recorded in a timely, accurate manner and be compliant with billing needs.
- Supervise and collaborate with other profession involved in the plan of care; such as, occupation therapy assistants
- Communicate effectively with parents, caregivers, physicians, staff and insurance companies.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment that promotes quality patient care, including inspecting equipment safety.
- Pursue profession development by fulfilling the requirements for continued professional education. Therapist must be accountable for monitoring licensing requirements and to stay informed with innovations in his/her respective field.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Masters degree or Equivalent in Physical Therapy
- Current State of Texas license as a Physical Therapist
- Two years of pediatric experience (preferred)
- Proficient computer skills and basic data entry skills
- Physical Requirements Include: lifting and carrying specialized equipment used during treatment; prolonged standing, walking, stooping, squatting, lifting up to 25-30 pounds and the ability to receive oral and written communication.
- Valid Texas Drivers License
This position is a W2, hourly pay, part-time position. As caseloads increase the position will become Full Time.
