This leadership role is ideal for an experienced Occupational Therapist (OT), Physical Therapist (PT), or Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with a strong background in pediatric therapy and clinical management. The Clinical Director will oversee day-to-day therapy operations, mentor and support clinical staff, and ensure high-quality patient care while maintaining a reduced caseload of direct therapy services.

This is a unique opportunity for a passionate and skilled therapist to advance into a leadership position while continuing to provide hands-on therapy in a collaborative, play-based environment.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Clinical Oversight

• Provide guidance and oversight to a team of OTs, PTs, SLPs, and therapy assistants.

• Monitor clinical quality, productivity, and patient outcomes, implementing improvements as needed.

• Ensure all therapy services align with best practices, compliance standards, and the clinic’s mission.

• Lead clinical team meetings, providing mentorship and training to enhance therapist skills and professional growth.

• Assist in hiring, onboarding, and training new clinical staff.

Patient Care & Program Development

• Maintain a reduced caseload, providing high-quality therapy services within your licensed discipline (OT, PT, or SLP).

• Develop and refine therapy programs to incorporate innovative, evidence-based interventions.

• Foster interdisciplinary collaboration to ensure comprehensive patient care and continuity across therapy services.

Family & Community Engagement

• Serve as a key resource for parents and caregivers, educating them on therapy goals and strategies for continued progress at home.

• Build relationships with referring physicians, schools, and community partners to enhance awareness and accessibility of therapy services.

• Address patient and family concerns, ensuring a positive therapy experience and high patient satisfaction.

Administrative & Compliance Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate and timely documentation and adherence to clinical policies, insurance regulations, and ethical guidelines.

• Collaborate with the administrative team to improve clinic operations, scheduling efficiency, and workflow management.

• Stay updated on industry trends, therapy innovations, and regulatory requirements affecting pediatric therapy.

Qualifications

• Education & Licensure:

• Master’s or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy (OT), Physical Therapy (PT), or Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) from an accredited program.

• Current California licensure in one of the above disciplines.

• ASHA CCC-SLP (if applicable for SLP candidates).

• Experience:

• Minimum of 5 years of pediatric therapy experience in a clinical or outpatient setting.

• Previous leadership, mentorship, or management experience preferred.

• Skills & Competencies:

• Strong leadership and mentorship abilities, with a passion for team development.

• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across multiple therapy disciplines.

• Highly organized, with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Enthusiasm for working with children and making therapy engaging and fun.

Compensation & Benefits

• Competitive Salary based on experience and leadership responsibilities.

• Comprehensive Benefits Package, including health insurance, paid time off, and continuing education support.

• Opportunities for Growth & Leadership Development within a growing pediatric therapy practice.

• Collaborative, Play-Based Environment where therapists are encouraged to be creative and innovative in their approach.

Why Join Recess Pediatric Therapy?
