Little Land Pediatric Therapy is seeking a dependable, self-motivated Custodian / Janitor who takes pride in creating a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for children, families, and staff. This role is essential to maintaining the high standards of cleanliness and organization that support our fun, engaging, and therapeutic spaces.
The ideal candidate works independently, stays focused on their responsibilities, and demonstrates strong attention to detail while ensuring that all areas of the clinic—including therapy rooms, classrooms, and gym spaces—are consistently clean, orderly, and ready for use.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of all clinic areas, including therapy rooms, classrooms, gym/play areas, restrooms, offices, and common spaces
- Perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, disinfecting, and trash removal
- Clean and sanitize high-touch surfaces, therapy equipment, toys, and play structures in accordance with company health and safety standards
- Ensure restrooms are fully stocked, clean, and well-maintained throughout the day
- Monitor and maintain cleaning supplies and notify management when inventory is low
- Support setup and breakdown of spaces for classes, events, or activities as needed
- Identify and report any maintenance or safety concerns promptly
- Maintain an organized storage area for cleaning supplies and equipment
- Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines
Qualifications
- Previous custodial or janitorial experience preferred but not required
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness
- Reliable, punctual, and consistent in completing assigned duties
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
- Comfortable working in a pediatric environment with children and families present
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, standing, and walking for extended periods
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Active role requiring standing, walking, bending, lifting, and repetitive movement
- Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds
- Exposure to cleaning products and supplies (proper training and safety equipment provided)
