Located in Arcadia, CA, our multidisciplinary team offers a warm, supportive environment where children can grow, learn, and have fun.

Position Overview

We are seeking a Pediatric Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our collaborative team. In this role, you will evaluate and treat children with a variety of sensory, motor, and developmental needs. While feeding experience is not required, it is a valuable asset and highly encouraged. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic, motivated to create engaging therapy sessions, and committed to supporting both the child and their family.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations to identify sensory, fine motor, and functional skill deficits.
  • Develop individualized treatment goals and plans based on assessment findings and family input.
  • Provide hands-on, play-based therapy sessions that address each child’s unique developmental and sensory-processing needs.
  • Incorporate fun, child-centered approaches to boost engagement and enhance progress.
  • Feeding Therapy: If experienced or interested, support children with feeding challenges by addressing sensory and oral-motor skills.
  • Communicate with parents/caregivers regarding treatment goals, progress, and strategies to reinforce skills at home.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team (speech, physical therapy) for comprehensive care.
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation of evaluations, treatment plans, and progress notes.
  • Adhere to state and federal regulations, as well as clinic policies and ethical standards.

Professional Development

  • Stay updated on the latest research, tools, and methods in pediatric occupational therapy.
  • Participate in team meetings, mentorship opportunities, and continuing education initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Master’s or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Current California OT license or eligibility for licensure.
  • Previous pediatric experience (clinical rotations, internships, or professional roles) is preferred.
  • Feeding therapy experience is a plus but not required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on family-centered care.
  • Ability to adapt and be creative in therapy sessions.
  • Eagerness to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Multiple Service Formats
    • Recess Pediatric Therapy offers out-patient clinic sessions, Telehealth services, and in-home therapy.
  • Flexible Pay Rates
    • In-clinic and Telehealth sessions are paid at a competitive base rate.
    • In-home therapy commands a higher pay rate to account for travel and additional time requirements.
  • Optional In-Home Services
    • Therapists are not required to offer in-home therapy. However, in-home opportunities are available for those interested in diversifying their caseload and increasing their earning potential.

Additional Benefits

  • Supportive environment with opportunities for mentorship and professional growth.
  • Continuing education support.
  • Family-centered clinic space designed to foster fun, engaging, and effective therapy sessions.

Why Join Recess Pediatric Therapy?
