We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a Pediatric Therapy Scheduling Coordinator and Front Desk Receptionist.
Job Overview:
The Scheduling Coordinator and Front Desk Receptionist play a vital role in ensuring our pediatric therapy center runs smoothly. In this position, you will manage the scheduling of therapy appointments, handle front desk duties, and provide an excellent first impression for all who visit or contact our clinic. This role requires experience in a fast-paced environment, preferably within pediatric therapy, and a passion for delivering outstanding customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Schedule and coordinate appointments for occupational, speech, and physical therapy services, ensuring efficient use of clinic resources
- Answer phone calls, emails, and in-person inquiries with a professional and friendly demeanor
- Greet and check in patients and families, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere
- Verify and update patient information, process paperwork, and handle intake forms
- Assist with billing inquiries, collect payments, and process insurance claims when necessary
- Maintain organized records and confidential patient files
- Manage office supply inventory and maintain a clean, organized front desk area
- Collaborate with therapists and other staff to optimize scheduling and patient flow
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in healthcare administration is a plus
- Minimum of 1-2 years experience in a scheduling or front desk role, preferably in a pediatric therapy or healthcare setting
- Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency with scheduling software and office applications (e.g., MS Office Suite, electronic health records)
- Compassionate, patient, and professional demeanor with a passion for working with children and families
